Christmas is coming
I have signed up for Kim's Christmas classes ... http://www.kimarcher.com.au/
I did them last year and we got lots of ideas and I made some of the projects for my family Christmas lunch ... looked great on the table!!

I did them last year and we got lots of ideas and I made some of the projects for my family Christmas lunch ... looked great on the table!!This year I have won a $10 voucher to spend on her site too so what a bonus!!
Last night I went to our staff Christmas show for the local hospital where I work as a casual community nurse. Had a great time!! Even managed a sleep-in this morning!! We went to the Oysterbeds restaurant at Coffin Bay. We had a mini bus for those who wanted to travel down with out driving. When we got to Coffin Bay we had drinks at one of the other nurse's beach house which was lovely, overlooking the bay.
Our meal was delicious too. Entrees of finger food - seafood etc and then the main course was called a smorgasbord but not the traditional one ... we had platters of chicken, lamb and one other meat and vegetables. Yummy. I didn't have any dessert but it was apparently that was yummy too.
The people's home that we had pre-trip and post-trip drinks at have their Christmas tree and decorations up!! Impressive hey!! They put it up on the day of the Adelaide Christmas pageant, which was yesterday!
This year is our first year on having a "fake tree"!! So I don't have to wait for it to be cut down!! I can put it up any time from now on!!
So when does every one put up their tree??
Here is a photo of our real Christmas tree last year!

Journaling reads "Haarsma's, 19th October 2008 You Loved It".
Journaling reads "You were really excited to come home on the bus after your first afternoon at kindy".
High light of the night ... I was asked to taste test an Adults Only Affagato!!
A scoop of ice cream, pour over a shot of coffee, add a nip of Irish Cream (or something similar!!) and sprinkle with crushed meringue!! WOW ... delish!! Eaten with a spoon and then drink the rest!! Coming soon ... next year or so!!

So far this week ...
Well ... I worked today.
Yesterday Tiff , Amanda , Sue and I went up to Shabby Chic Shack at Lock for a drive. They were having a Melbourne Cup scrap day. We didn't take any scrapping stuff but some of us did a bit of shopping damage!!
I won the Shabby Chic Shack sweep too ... must add up my winnings!!
Now to find some time to do some scrapping ... hopefully a productive night will occur on Friday at the Five Loaves Bakery scrap night!! Looking forward to that.
I think I have finished my Escape 2 Create retreat project too. Really happy with the photos I have used and think I'm happy with the class project! Have done a costing and it should be not too costly to make up the kit. We will be advertising the classes soon on the Escape 2 Create blog with some sneak peek photos taken by Amanda.
Now to find something to add to this post ... sorry no photos or layouts. Just had a look. Maybe tomorrow!! Famous last words.
Hhhmmm nothing that I can think of ... might go to bed!!
Catch you soon.

The weekend ...
The weekend has flown!
Mum and Dad stayed on Friday night ... had a yummy tea - Atlantic Salmon wrapped in prosciutto, BBQ, with snow peas, some delicious asparagus grown by a local lady who very kindly gave us a big bunch, and baby potatoes. Unfortunately John was called out on an Ambulance job that lasted for about 5 hours so he had to gobble his down quickly.
Mum and Dad headed to Port Lincoln on Saturday to stay the night and go to a wedding.
John and I had a night out, child free ... doesn't happen very often! The kids went to his Mum and Dad's and we went to a local production called ... "As time goes by - songs of war and peace". Fantastic show, put on by local talent and raising funds for our hospital. Had a big night!! We stayed the night in Cummins so neither of us had to drive home and let's just say we took advantage of that fact!! Got to bed at about 5am, joined in on the after party and ended up dancing on a table to some great music!! (Oh I wasn't the only one dancing on the table!!)
Then when I woke up this morning John had gone down the street and bought us both an Iced Coffee and a toasted bacon and egg sandwich ... yum, delicious after a late night!!
Today Mum and Dad came back to stay another night and we had a lamb roast in the Weber for tea and it was yummy too. Mum and Dad head home tomorrow.
Tomorrow ... well I need to get to work on my retreat class project!! I have the materials and the photos now so had better get it happening ready for the sneak peek photos to be done later this week!!
Did a layout yesterday cause we had a short scrap session over at Tiff's. Just need to add the journaling and then I'll post it tomorrow.
No scrap class on Tuesday so I think we will do a road trip to Lock ... Shabby Chic Shack!!
Best be off to bed, although I did have a little extra sleep this morning ... got home with the kids this morning at about 10-ish and Hannah went down for a sleep at 10.30 (very early for her) so I had a couple of extra hours then!!
