Pergola update ...

Here it is ... and yes it is quite big!!!

The front ...

and the front again ...

The beautiful Oregon beams

Our outdoor setting ...

A fair bit of tidying up still to be done around the site!! But to give you the idea!!

We need to decide on the garden at the front ... maybe a weeping Mulberry and the fence ... no ideas there yet!

The pipe poles on the veranda need painting.

We have to order the pavers and the screening (we'll be putting decking wood along as the screen).

Escape 2 Create retreat ...

Can't believe this time in a month our retreat weekend will be half over!

Yesterday Tiff, Amanda, Val and I met at Amanda's to pack the class kits and some of the goodies for each person attending. A big job that was great to get mostly done now.

We have been really lucky to have been supported by a lot of businesses this year which we really appreciate.

See more here ... RETREAT

And last year's retreat ... HERE

The birthday ...

We had "roll ups" and then chocolate cake for tea on Lachlan's birthday.

Hannah kept blowing out the candles!!

Then I set the timer for a family snap!

Lachlan playing with part of the Lego he received from us.

Happy birthday Lachlan ...

Six years ago today this little boy was born!! He is probably a day or so old in this photo.

Now look at him ...

He ...
- is very cheeky
- loves Lego (got some more for his birthday!!)
- a hoarder, stashes things in boxes and bags
- protective of his possessions, gets very upset if others touch his things, particularly if it is his brothers or sister!!
- loves cricket and football and swimming
- caring
- sensitive
- has very curly hair especially when it is too long, like right now, really needs a cut!
- fairly confident
- enjoys the company of boys and girls!!
- particular about what clothes he wears, goes through different phases over the years with this. At the moment refuses to wear sandals to school even when it is hot, only wears a white school t-shirt, even though he usually gets it very dirty.
- seems to have gone off eating meat at the moment and doesn't really have a favourite meal
- his birthday request for tea is roll ups ... tortillas with meat and salad, but he will proably have grated cheese, plain yoghurt, lettuce and maybe a little piece of tomato in his tonight!!
We love him to bits!!

Hello

Haven't been feeling 100% since Sunday ... sore throat and headaches, been trying to have sleeps in the afternoons.

Missing out on a trip to the Shabby Chic Shack at Lock today, very disappointed about that, since they are in their new premises ... hope I feel better soon!

Swing it sister

Love

The weekend OR Come to Eyre Peninsula!!

Wow, lately I reckon we live in a great part of SA!!

We can go to so many different beaches and they are pristine and so much fun!! And not too many people like those photos of interstate or even metro beaches.

Friday night after work we headed over to Tumby Bay for fish and chips at a friend's shack. The kids had fun playing on the beach with their friends and we relaxed with a cold drink ... it had been SO hot during the day but Tumby was a lot cooler!

Saturday we had a quiet day at home, John took the boys to the pool and Hannah and I had a rest!

Sunday we were invited to go to the beach ... this time Fishery's Beach, near Port Lincoln. We hadn't been there before.

This beach has real surf so lots of body boarding by John, Jack & Lachlan

Heading back to Port Lincoln to get tea and eat it on the lawn of the foreshore area.
